My roommate, in her infinite wisdom, commented a few weeks ago that I had begun to say "man" more often after watching Tron.

Later, while driving home from work, bitterly thinking about her comment, I wondered:

"Does CLU sometimes talk like Flynn by accident and get mad about it?"

I'm so obsessed with Tron Legacy it's just this beautiful little fucked up movie that is INTENSELY dedicated to being a synaesthetic art piece while also hitting Disney's mandated sad dad storyline from the late 2000s

But EVERY SCENE is gorgeous. Almost every FRAME you could put on your wall as an art piece. Daft Punk did the soundtrack! You can't GET shit like this anymore it's just a one in a billion event where everything came together right

i'm rewatching tron uprising again for the first time in a while and I'd forgotten just how... graphic??? some of the violence is

holes punched in chests (multiple occasions)! a bisected guard dragging themself across the floor & trailing digital gore! a (failed) public execution where the prisioners are being pulled apart by lightcycles! dyson's caved-in skull! tron's entire fucking torture scene that was genuinely harrowing to watch! let's carve out his eye! let's carve out tron's fucking eye!

#I can’t quite put my finger on why but I love it so much #theres a serenity here in its light colors. for once the use of scale doesn’t feel used to show how small and ‘insignificant’ programs are #instead it’s used to show how all of these programs have their own lives. and they filled up this vast world with their presence #LOOK AT ALL OF THOSE LITTLE DOTS.
